our little patch

i decided to grow some vegetables with my children this year, i thought it would really help them to understand how vegetables actually grow, and that they don't magically appear on our supermarket shelves, we've been weeding and watering, they have been observing that a lot of care and effort needs to be taken, the excitement and anticipation is building up we are anxiously waiting for vegetables to appear, hopefully it will make it all the more fun and exciting to eat inshallah (wishful thinking)

i really want my children to learn the difference between a healthy and unhealthy lifestyle and that by taking care of our bodies we are also worshipping Allah swt.

we've been working very hard on our patch in the last week, and things are coming along quite nicely mashallah

tomato corianderpotatoes, sweetcorn, marrow, pumpkin, and radish, it's all there subhanallah

Masha Allaah very nice. Good you have a beautiful garden place. We are having our lessons on plant right now too. Its so nice when you have practical stuff to show your kids while teaching something and real fun too! Keep up the good work!

  2. jazakkallah khair sister, yeah the kids really love it too, if you don't have much space why don't you try hanging baskets (cherry tomatoes and strawberries) are great in those and if nothing else then some cotton wool and cress is also a great one that kids love!
