unschooling...

half term is well on the way, mums get to relax from their usual routine and hectic school run, which means there are a lot more visitors coming and going to the house, and a whole lot of sleep overs taking place, so this leaves no other option, 'education' has to take a back seat while 'socialisation' gets into the driving seat!

this is what we did today while we weren't getting educated

i think us homeschooling mums are always on the lookout, always on the prowl for that opportunity, for that moment, for that instance which we can turn around, from an ordinary moment into a magnificient one, from a boring moment into an informative one, we take every thought, every question and every comment and make it into a learning experience for our children

  1. In a lot of ways I think, homeschooling is as much a parenting approach as anything else! Being an insightful, opportunistic mom who is on the lookout for every chance to teach or nurture in daily life is one of the best ways to guide our children's development and education.
Hope you're having fun over the break! Glad to have found your blog.

  3. As salaam alaikum,

I often wonder how different things would be if basically school was out year round and everyone homeschooled. Allahu alim.
