unschooling...
half term is well on the way, mums get to relax from their usual routine and hectic school run, which means there are a lot more visitors coming and going to the house, and a whole lot of sleep overs taking place, so this leaves no other option, 'education' has to take a back seat while 'socialisation' gets into the driving seat!

i think us homeschooling mums are always on the lookout, always on the prowl for that opportunity, for that moment, for that instance which we can turn around, from an ordinary moment into a magnificient one, from a boring moment into an informative one, we take every thought, every question and every comment and make it into a learning experience for our children

In a lot of ways I think, homeschooling is as much a parenting approach as anything else! Being an insightful, opportunistic mom who is on the lookout for every chance to teach or nurture in daily life is one of the best ways to guide our children's development and education.
